Automobiles in German City Found Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were notified by a individual who noticed a car in Hanau marked with reddish liquid

Roughly 50 cars have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Officers state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday night, when a individual noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The substance had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they added.

Law enforcement then found numerous other smeared cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests suggest the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; officials are currently not aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the community for tips.

An important political figure said the incident left him speechless and needed to be addressed quickly.

"This incident affects the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, recalling the death of nine victims by a gunman aiming at people of migrant background in five years prior.
